Recipes

Each recipe starts from Dashboard → Actions. Use a template where one exists, then fill in the details. Run Try it before you switch an action on.

Use this for an order status, opening hours, or anything else in another system.

  1. Start from Let the assistant look something up.
  2. On the Start, describe when the assistant should use it, and describe each input so the AI knows what to supply.
  3. On the HTTP request, set the method and URL, adding any headers your system needs.
  4. On the End, choose what goes back to the AI: the response, or one value in it.
  1. Start from Collect details, or add a Message step with the Form response.
  2. Add the fields you need and mark the required ones.
  3. Add an HTTP request after the form, and send each field as a value, linked to its answer.
  4. End with Continue to open chat.
  1. Start from Tell the website something happened.
  2. Name the event, for example lead_captured, and add the values it should carry.
  3. On your page, listen for the ragtime-action message. See Page event.
  1. Start from Save something when the chat ends.
  2. Set the Start to When the session has ended.
  3. Pass what you need as Start inputs, filled by name from your External Variables.
  4. Point the HTTP request at the system that should receive it.

Use When the end is detected instead if you want to act as the wind-down begins.

  1. Start from scratch and set the Start to When the chat starts.
  2. Add the steps you want, such as an HTTP request that loads context or a page event that opens a panel.
  1. Build the shared sequence as its own action, with the Start set to When another action runs it.
  2. In any other action, add a Run another action step and pick it.
  3. Fill in its Start inputs from earlier answers or inputs.

A workflow can start when an action runs. Use the workflow for the parts that should continue on the server after the chat: waiting, retrying, or updating other systems.
